Deliveries of our Spring/Summer 2018 season have been coming in thick and fast. Sibel and the team placed the orders for this season over a year ago so it is very exciting to see these long-awaited garments finally instore.
One brand that created waves as soon as it started to arrive was Perseverance London. Don’t worry if this name is not too familiar to you yet, it soon will be! A new label, only in its third season, it is one that the fashion industry is taking notice of and we are especially proud to be able to offer it at Si Belle®.
The brainchild of Catalan designer, Eudaid Luis, the label is based in East London. We find Perseverance London so refreshing because it has a real identity, it knows what it is and does not pander to trends. The collections are very feminine but with a tough, contemporary edge. Picture clothes with a vintage meets contemporary feel – Victoriana-inspired tops and 70s silhouettes.
Completely intrigued, we wanted to find out a little more about this charismatic designer. Eudaid studied fashion in Barcelona before working for the Spanish fashion giant, Zara, as an inhouse designer. He then moved to the UK in 1998 and worked for 10 years as a head designer before breaking out on his own. It seems that East London captured Eudaid’s heart and he has made it his home as well as basing his business there. Apparently, he is inspired daily by the mix of cultures he finds there; traditional and contemporary, vintage and luxury.
Expect garments from Perseverance London that skilfully blend intricate lacework and exquisite fabrics to create strong shapes.
Modern and sophisticated with a good dose of eccentricity and fine tailoring thrown in for good measure, Perseverance London is a brand that is full of character. Yet, it is still hugely accessible, both in terms of price and wearability.
Perseverance London has already become known for using an intelligent combination of bold and neutral hues in their designs. We are especially taken with their embroidered blouses and gorgeous midi dresses embellished with lace panel details.
Perseverance London is a label that is firmly on our radar and, if you want your finger on the pulse of the “next big thing”, we think it should be on yours too. With its slightly offbeat approach and modern attitude, this is an incredibly intelligent brand which lends itself to expressing a sense of individuality.
